For sale is a rare Burr Thuya veneer jewellery box with writing slope. The box dates to the late Victorian period and has been made with the highest quality with rare burr thuya veneers with a mother of pearl inlays to the top edge, inside it has the original velvet lining for the jewellery which has a lift out tray which features rosewood lining and a hidden red leather writing slope with original glass ink well which is accessed with a press of the brass button below the mirror. The box is in very good condition and come with a working lock and key, it has small chips to the lower back edge and some wear to the internal velvet but nothing that detracts from the piece.
